The project, closely linked to the presence of water on two sides, divides the building into three volumes connected to each other, which follow the alignments of the surroundings.
Each of the three bodies communicates with the landscape according to a different approach, which depends on the orientation, the type of landscape on which it faces and the function:
- The west body, in contact with the most natural part of the island, houses the living area, almost entirely glazed.
- The central body is the joint that allows the articulation and alignment of the other two bodies.
- The east body, further away from the canal, intended to accommodate services and sleeping areas.
The maximum permeability between inside and outside is obtained through large windows, the continuity of the flooring, the dimensions and the finishing materials. From this point of view, the building constitutes the first filter and the header towards the buildings of the entire island.
