Urban regeneration. Campo Marzo mendingplan, Vicenza

The study proposes some solutions for the redevelopment of Campo Marzo, a large historic park at the gates of the historic center of Vicenza which for years has shown evident signs of decay. The Campo, in a global vision, is identified as a central urban SYSTEM. The proposed project themes are:
- mobility;
- parking lots;
- outdoor activities, sports and physical exercise, play;
- security, lighting, services, connections and gates;
- commercial, tertiary and residential functions, services;
- street furniture, equipment and materials to be used;
- the enhancement of vegetation, trees, water.
Based on these themes, the study identifies 10 Mending Places, which constitute the focal points on which the most incisive suggestions are defined and concentrated. This also correspond to 10 possible intervention phases. A system of coherent guidelines, in order to allow the municipal administration to implemente the works by parts, according to economic programs and emergencies, without losing sight of the overall final result.
