Villa Thiene in Quinto Vicentino

The partial restoration project of Andrea Palladio's villa starts from a preliminary analysis that allowed to read the traces left on the walls by history.
The analysis operations involved the uncovered spaces of the villa and were carried out through an investigation into the construction systems, the archival sources and through critical-stratigraphic surveys of the fronts, internal walls and floors.
From the reworking of the information found, we moved on to the drafting of the restoration project of part of the Palladian ground floor and of the portion attributed to Francesco Muttoni.
The request of the Administration to establish offices and a library inside the Villa, then required, on the one hand, compliance with the requirements of the law and, on the other, the identification of technologies compatible with the preservation of the historical characteristics of the building.
